MONTREAL 1999

Nearly 200 members and guests attended the Summer LPBA Convention held at the Ritz-Carlton in Montreal, Quebec. Here is a look at some of the highlights.

Preflight Briefing of Pilots takes place, and brave crewmembers prepare for the competition

After 3 landings by each pilot, the panel of Judges (Peter Cowper, Mike Smith and Gary Russell) announced the following results:

FIRST PLACE: PATRICK FLOYD (Luscombe C-FMJF)

SECOND PLACE: PHIL ALPERT (Centurion N6447A)

THIRD PLACE: MARTY WEISS (Cherokee N3479W)

Less than two aircraft lengths separated the first and third place finishers

Following the competition, the participants returned to the friendly St. Hubert Airport Bar where they were congratulated by our official spot landing hostess, Genevive.
